It's always an exciting time when a new series starts and this one certainly starts with a bang!While still very young, Brooke and Angel are left orphans when their sheriff father is killed. The person who is responsible is a fifteen year old prospect with the Soulless Bast*rds MC called Declan but there is a lot more to this story. The story continues years later...Declan is the Vice President of the Soulless Bast*rds MC, he lives and breathes for his club where rules were made to be adhered to rigidly. His first impression of Brooke as a young woman is one that surprises him a bit but then she goes on to do this on a regular basis. They have a definite chemistry together and the fireworks between them certainly ignites however there is more intensity to their feelings.Lurking behind in the background is something you can feel about to explode into action, the tension building up and the mystery is very intriguing and makes you sit on the edge of your seat. As with all MC clubs the brotherhood is strong and these characters all grow on you as you read along.This is a fast paced book and extremely easy to read, after the last couple of books I have read it is like a breath of fresh air! I look forward to reading about Mayhem in the next book.
This story starts with some violence, its something that leaves a lasting effect on both main characters. The plot is interesting and moves through the chapters without any unusual breaks or gaps in consistency, I loved how feisty and strong Brooke was, so very able to take on these tough bikers and she made me chuckle more than once. Declan was born and raised in the club, the violent side thrust onto him at a young age and more by threat than choice. He has made his life with no thought of leaving to do anything else. The sexual content is explicit but all in context to the story, and its hot. The first book in this new series is off to a fabulous start and has a few twists which kept me intrigued and glued to the pages. I am very much looking forward now to Mayhem's book which is up next. For anyone who likes a no holds barred biker book then you should enjoy this, it does have some violence but it isn't as full on as some and it contains everything else you expect in a book of this genre, I cant get enough of them.
I think this first book of this new series is my favorite one yet by this author! Each of her books gets better, the stories get more in-depth and the characters become more "life like" than her previous works.In this one, we have Declan, the VP of the Soulless Bastards, and his neighbor down the street, Brooke. Two broken people for two completely different reasons are drawn to one another. Because of a silly dare.Of course, it wouldn't be a gritty MC book unless there were bad guys (okay, guys worse than the club itself, because while they call themselves the Soulless Bastards, they've ALL got huge hearts!), lots of steamy times and angst that comes from an alpha man and a strong woman who calls him on his stuff. I totally loved this one and cannot wait to read more in this series!
It was okay, had plenty of positives, just didn’t feel it. I can’t put my finger on why exactly but it seemed like words on a page versus imagery in my mind. A little sappy and not as MC as I expected, but it was overall decent.
Declan!!Hot Damn!!!Erin is at it again!! I loved this book. This is a steaming hot read, with danger just around the corner. I fell hard for Declan who was raised in the MC lifestyle. And Brooke is one bad as* lady. She doesn’t take crap from anyone, yet the minute she meets Declan all bets are off. This book can be read as a stand alone, but I can’t wait for Mayhem the next book in this series.Want to find out what happens with Declan and Brooke then get to one clicking!!
Declan by Erin Trejo is awesome. This is book 1 of the Soulless Bastards No Cal MC series. This is the story of Declan (Dec) and Brooke. Brooke helps run her uncle’s strip club and likes to do dares. Declan is the VP of the Soulless Bastards No Cal MC. They meet when Brooke takes a dare from her best friend to go get a beer from the MC. They clash in more ways than one. There is a strong chemistry between them and they can’t ignore it. They both have a past that they don’t talk about. Will Brooke and Declan ignore their past and concentrate on the future? Will the issues in their pasts come back to haunt them? You must read the book to get the answers. This book is steamy and has violence, suspense, highs and lows, twists and turns, emotional baggage. This is a must read book. I can’t wait for the next book by Ms. Trejo.
I'm Hooked !Erin knows how to make you forget what's going on in your life and place you right in the middle of the chaos in her MC worlds .Declan and Brooke are on FIRE !She's a spitfire that can take him on without a doubt and he's willing to take that challenge .They fit together perfectly amongst all of the Raw emotions and dark secrets threatening to keep them apart ...it's intense .Their sexual tension is off the wall .Lets just say the things Declan can do with a cold piece of metal will leave you extremely satisfied .I'll Definitely be on the lookout for upcoming Soulless Bastards chapters .I've got my eyes on a few characters I need to know more about .
Declan is the VP of the Soulless Bastards MC NoCal and he was born into this life. Then Brooke walks up to his club on his dare and she turns his world upside down. Add in some men who want what Brooke has and will do anything to get it. When their pasts collide with their present it puts their future in jeopardy. This author knows how to write a great MC book, she pulls you in and wraps her stories around you. I loved this story and Brooke is so strong and balls to the wall. The story had so many twists and turns. I can't wait to read Mayhem's story next and see who turns his world upside down. Great story, even better characters and can't wait for more. Highly Recommended!!!
