you have to really read through this book a few times so that you can grasp all the concepts presented here. I was one of those persons whose help was really in a crucial state I'm finding this book was the diamond in the rough for me and it saved my life and my gallbladder. I have a wonderful side effect I dropped 100 pounds within a year and I am feeling much better than I have in a very long time. some of the food in here might be time consuming but once you learn how to do it it really doesn't take much time out of your busy life at all. And in my opinion I would rather spend more time preparing my food in a healthy manner learning to sprout grains and seeds soaking my beans thereby making my body and healthier place to live in so I am indeed grateful for this book and I share it with everyone who asks me to help them with their health.
I got this book on Kindle after having the flu this year, to boost my immune system back up, Her information is good but some of her topics are not well researched, such as the Eastern Traditions, she mentions, and has no clue about, I do think that the raw fermented foods are a good thing, and the fermented beverages are also, she does a lot of promoting of her ...way too expensive products, also in my area buckwheat bread is no where to be found, which she promoted a place in CA that sells it. I also took her test on line and they sent an e-mail to me with the results and said I had a severe case of candida, so I thought wow, I have never had any of the symptoms nor ever been treated for that, but... I thought maybe I was missing something, I bought the book, then took the same test in the book, same answers, and turns out I am in the LOWEST range for having that problem, another scam, I do believe that her book would help people who REALLY have this issue, but don't scam me. Now...some of her info is factual, and I do drink fermented probiotic drinks and I do eat fermented foods, and I do believe that they are really good for you, which is what her book is really all about, she also is an avid promoter of stevia, and she does have good advice for candida, but I do it for my health and have for a long time now, I also checked out the prices she sells her products for, WAY TOO Expensive!!!! look around in your area health food and grocery store, you can get the fermented veggies and drinks (Kevita sells good tasting drinks) for about a fourth the price. The book it's self is good, but read with open eyes.
I read this book cover to cover and follow the Program religiously. I feel better, have my energy and stamina again. No more bloating and stomach issues. I’m regular without meds. I look great and lost a lot of weight. It’s a lifestyle though not a diet so it’s not a quick fix. After 6 months of following it’s become who I am. I’ve started getting others to try as well. I don’t have swelling in my joints or aches and pains any more either. This is how everyone should live!!
This book contradicts many things and it is a 'business manual" for body ecology products. I read this book half way and just threw it in a corner. This book is simply a manual for all of body ecology products and how to incorporate them into your diet... I wouldn't recommend this book . I found the GAPS book by Dr.Natasha Campbell very well informative.
This is a great diet for digestive health. I started it about 5- 6 weeks ago and have seen an increase in energy, moods regulated, and have lost 11 pounds. I still have low energy days, but I feel like it will take time to heal my body from years of unhealthy eating. Cutting sugar from my diet has curbed my food cravings dramatically and made it much easier to stick with.
I found out about this book through a raw blog. A guy described his battle with candidiasis. I didn't realize that guys could get it and I never realized that candidiasis manifested itself in a spectrum of ways that I suffered from. I purchased this book and spend about 2 weeks reading, studying, and highlighting the book. I started the diet last Monday and I have to admit that the book has become my bible just because it's been a huge change for me that I continually have to refer back to the book. I photocopied a couple pages of the book to carry around with me and use as a reference when I'm out and I have to figure out what I can eat.I used to be on the raw food diet, ate organic and healthy and I was still experiencing a low immune system, breaking out, and a chronic yeast infection that I've had for over 5 years. I've tried treating the yeast infection with antibiotics, a watered down hydrogen peroxide douche, and boric acid suppositories. None of the treatments stuck. My yeast infection returned with in a day or two of stopping the treatment. If I ever had more than one day a week of an early work day, I came down with a sore throat.I'm so ecstatic to report that this diet has cured me of my yeast infection. I can't believe it.It was difficult for me to return to cooked foods because I loved the principles of the raw food diet, but being cured of the yeast infection has made me a believer. Obviously my body wasn't receiving the nourishment it needed to heal itself.I gave this 4 stars only because the book is a constant advertisement for her products. I realize that a person needs to make a living, but I felt like it was a little overkill. If you do a Google search you can find other ways to make cultured vegetables without using her starter kit. I use 1 liter of water to 2 TB sea salt and pour it over a mixture of chopped veggies and let it sit on my counter for 7 days. So far, it's worked great. I also purchased water kefir granules 2 years ago from an online shop that only sells that and they are still healthy and creating wonderful drinks. I will eventually use them to make cultured coconut water.I went through some crazy sugar withdraws during this first week. I felt like I was a drug addict. That has been the most difficult part of this adjustment. Teas with flavored stevias (specifically vanilla cream) and my recipe for homemade healthy kettle corn has helped me greatly.
